Local Activities II

Local Activities II: Togo

Local Activities II have been implemented in April 2022 by the Togolese representatives who took part in the Training Course of the project. Around 20 professional dancers of different styles were the participants of the workshops “All for one and one for all” and “Migrants’ words”. During the first workshop the team worked on how to create empathy and promoting the understanding on the migrant situation through dance, whilst they adapted the second one on how to use body language to create choreography. They also used some of the techniques and games they learnt during the Training and add some extra activity to prepare choreographies for the visibility activity. During the evaluation, participants made many positive comments and they appreciated the activities, the methodology based on the principles of non-formal education and the content related to the situation of migrants.

Finally, the visibility activity took place on April 23 in the streets of the Kodjoviakopé District of Lomé. Participants stopped at several places and performed different styles of dance. Local population appreciated the show and asked for more information about the project and the organisation.
