Local Activities II: Italy

In May 2022, Local Activ­i­ties II of the project has been imple­ment­ed in Italy. The work­shops that have been cho­sen are “All around the world” and “All for one and one for all”. Par­tic­i­pants of the first work­shop were chil­dren and young peo­ple belong­ing to the Ukraine com­mu­ni­ty that had to leave their coun­try in the pre­vi­ous months. After the work­shop, they were very hap­py, had fun and learnt a lot. They were also very grate­ful with the team. The next day, par­tic­i­pants were local dancers, some of them migrants, work­ing with young peo­ple. The objec­tives have been achieved and they cre­at­ed an inter­est­ing debate on the top­ic of migrant inclu­sion and how dance can be a pow­er­ful tool.

The vis­i­bil­i­ty activ­i­ty took place at H‑Zone, a gath­er­ing space for young peo­ple in Alba. After the pre­sen­ta­tion of the project and its main activ­i­ties, includ­ing the expe­ri­ence of the par­tic­i­pants of the Train­ing and Job Shad­ow­ing, a dance per­for­mance and jam took place. Audi­ence was impressed with the activ­i­ties and con­grat­u­late par­tic­i­pants for being part of that. These activ­i­ties allowed the Ital­ian organ­i­sa­tion to estab­lish new col­lab­o­ra­tion and expand its local net­work for future projects and activities.
