Local Activities II

Local Activities II: Guatemala

In Guatemala, Local Activities II of the project were implemented in March 2022 and more than 30 young people, urban artists and professionals in the field of youth took part. During the workshops, they could identity and reflect on the causes and consequences of migrant through an exchange of experiences with the facilitators and the rest of the group. They raised also their empathy and awareness on the topic. In particular, they were able to understand that this situation is more than a phenomenon; it is a reality in Guatemala and must be treated empathetically. It was also very interesting to check that participants could learn new words in different languages and could experiment and practice different elements of the hip hop culture. A rap son that has been created including key words on migrant was one of the results of the workshops that fascinated all participants. Everything was then presented in front of the local population and everyone was very fascinated with the results and interested in participating in similar activities in the future, including Erasmus+ projects.
