Local Activities I

Meetings in each country

In the frame of Local Activities I, project organisations had to carry out meetings with young people, migrants, urban artists, policy-makers and youth workers to make the project public, increase its visibility and the one of the Erasmus+ programme, that is co-funding our project, and reflect on the situation of migrants and how urban art can be a tool for inclusion.

Most of the meetings were face-to-face, but, due to Covid-19, some had capacity restrictions, were online or had a hybrid format. Experienced organisations involved also participants of previous projects so they could explain their experiences.

Besides presenting the project and the Erasmus+ Programme, the meetings contributed to the reflection on the project topics as the situation of migrants in each country and how urban art can be a tool for inclusion and social transformation has been deepened.

Participants were very interested in the project and asked all organisations to continue updating them with the following activities. In the case of organisations out of Europe, some of them were surprised how European Union can give them, nationals of third-countries, the opportunity to develop their competences and acquire new knowledge through mobilities and International Training Courses, such as the one we are organising in Malaga.
