Job Shadowing: Ana Belén

In the frame­work of this project, one pro­fes­sion­al from the Span­ish organ­i­sa­tion Ini­cia­ti­va Inter­na­cional Joven (AIIJ) went to the Unit­ed States of Amer­i­ca for an obser­va­tion peri­od of 13 days with the main aim of learn­ing and know­ing in situ the work­ing method­ol­o­gy, activ­i­ties and best prac­tices of KBL Foun­da­tion, as well as pro­vid­ing and con­tribut­ing with her ideas and sug­ges­tions to the organ­i­sa­tion of the Final Con­fer­ence of the project.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
‑Deep­er knowl­edge on the aspects to be tak­en into account when organ­is­ing break­ing events;
‑Col­lab­o­ra­tion and obser­va­tion of the method­ol­o­gy used by KBL in break­ing work­shops with chil­dren and teenagers;
‑Meet­ings with dancers and artists, includ­ing inter­na­tion­al judges of break­ing competitions;
‑Sup­port­ing the logis­ti­cal and ped­a­gog­i­cal organ­i­sa­tion of the Final Con­fer­ence of the project;
‑Meet­ings and exchanges with local artists and groups.

MAIN ACQUIRED AND/OR IMPROVED COMPETENCES:
‑Improve­ment of the under­stand­ing and speak­ing in Amer­i­can Eng­lish and hip hop spe­cif­ic terminologies;
‑Increase of the knowl­edge of the cul­ture and lifestyle of Amer­i­can society;
‑To get to know in situ the socio-cul­tur­al real­i­ty that led to the birth of hip hop and urban art.
